LOW SIEW JOON
LL.B (Hons), MBA(Acc)

Graduated from the University of Singapore in 1965 and joined the Singapore Legal and Judicial Service serving as Deputy Registrar, Industrial Arbitration Court and as State Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor. Resigned from the Singapore Legal and Judicial Service in 1966 and joined the International Labour Office (an agency of the United Nations in Geneva). Returned to Singapore in 1971 and has been practicing since in conveyancing, company law, commercial law, banking, insurance and labour law.

Currently serves as Referee, Industrial Arbitration Court; Member, Criminal Law Advisory Committee; Vice-Chairman of the Singapore National Committee of the Asean Law Association; Governing Council Member and Chairman of the Business Law Committee of the Asean Law Association and is an Honorary Member of the International Organisations Business Association.

Served as President, Rotary Club of Jurong Town; Charter President, Rotary Club of Raffles City; Chairman, NTUC Travel Pte. Ltd., Tuan Sing Holdings Ltd. and SPP Ltd and as Director and Audit Committee Chairman in other public listed companies as well as Member, Tribunal for the Maintenance of Parents and Board member, World Trade Centre Club.

Received Friend of Labour Award from National Trades Union Congress in 1982 and the Asean Law Association Silver Jubilee Award in 2005.
