Graduated from the University of London and called to the English Bar in 1990. Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court, Singapore in 1992. Worked both as a practising lawyer, primarily in general litigation as well as in-house legal counsel. As corporate in-house counsel for a leading life insurance company and an e-commerce subsidiary of a telco, undertook insurance related operational legal matters and Infotech, IT/intellectual property, and some general corporate/commercial work.

Her major practice areas include bank credit litigation and insolvency law, debt collection, vehicle NIMA claims, family law, landlord and tenant disputes, employment law, software licensing, IT AND cyberlaw and internet banking law including electronic payment, amongst other areas.
